CONCRETE CARE
Each handmade concrete piece is polished and finished with a best-in-industry sealer. While concrete is extremely durable, the sealer, in particular, is not invincible. In general, it’s best to treat your concrete as you would any natural stone surface. We recommend following the guide below to keep your concrete piece looking beautiful for years to come.
-
Use mild soap and a warm, damp cloth to clean. Avoid abrasive scouring pads and acidic cleansers. Bleach spray can be used to remove any stains.
-
Wipe up spills in a reasonable amount of time, especially acids such as lemon juice, vinegar and wine. Don't allow standing liquid to be trapped underneath items, which can leave rings or shadows. Use coasters, placemats or runners to protect the surface.
-
Use trivets and pads under hot pans, as you would with granite or marble.
-
Do not cut directly on your concrete countertop; protect your knives and the sealer. Like any stone surface, avoid dragging heavy pots or anything with a sharp edge across your countertop.
