THE BEXLEY MONOLITH VANITY
The Bexley Monolith Vanity
The Bexley Monolith Powder Room Vanity presented a unique challenge that pushed the boundaries of our craftsmanship. This project involved intricate design elements we had never tackled before, making it the most complex endeavor we had undertaken. We had to achieve a precise color match for a soft muted blush hue, create a custom fabric-formed sink mold, and manage an impressive 500 lbs of concrete, all while controlling the immense hydraulic pressure that threatened to push the concrete out of the form. In the end, the vanity was a resounding success and taught us the importance of meticulous planning and respect for the materials we work with. Read on for more details on this exciting project. Designer: Studio Black Ink.
FEATURE ONE: SMOOTH EDGES + CLEAN LINES
Its minimalist design highlights smooth edges and clean lines, accentuated by the soft, matte finish. The integrated sink creates a cohesive and modern aesthetic to the monolith, ideal for both contemporary and transitional interiors.
FEATURE TWO: FABRIC FORMED INFINITY DRAIN
This monolithic vanity showcases a fabric-formed infinity drain, a true testament to craftsmanship and precision. The drain is seamlessly integrated, delivering flawless water flow and perfectly meeting hardware specifications. Achieving this level of refinement required an intensive, laborious process, as fabric forming demands exceptional skill and meticulous attention to detail. The result is a functional work of art that pairs elegance with unparalleled performance.
FEATURE THREE: PEDESTAL LEGS
The Monolith Vanity is elegantly supported by two rounded pedestal legs, crafted in the same color and finish as the piece itself. These legs feature smooth edges and clean lines, perfectly complementing the minimalist design while providing a sense of balance and stability.
FEATURE FOUR: COLOR
The vanity’s soft muted blush hue was carefully crafted to harmonize with the powder room palette, matching the other color-specific elements in the space. By blending two different shades of red oxide with varying pigment loads, we achieved a custom tone that ties the design together with warmth and sophistication.
